Pleasant View Christian School was founded in 1978 and held its first classes at Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View, Tennessee. In 1982, Pleasant View Christian moved to its current location at 160 Hicks Edgen Road. In 1985, the high school wing of the building was added.

The new building, which still stands today, was called the "Pleasant View Home", and there has sometimes been some confusion over the years since both buildings were called "Pleasant View". [ 2 ] In 1975, the church sold the property to the state of New Hampshire which used it as a residence for mental patients of a state hospital.
