Victorious Boxers 2: Fighting Spirit is the North American sequel to Victorious Boxers: Ippo's Road to Glory. Its original Japanese title is Hajime no Ippo: All-Stars (はじめの一歩 ALL☆STARS). In Japan, it is actually the third game in the series to be released on the PlayStation 2.
Victorious Boxers was followed by sequels on other video game consoles. The first title was Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting! (はじめの一歩 THE FIGHTING!), which was released only in Japan on December 12, 2002, for the Game Boy Advance.
