Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (or DeKUT) is a public, [1] coeducational technological university in Nyeri, Kenya.It is one of 22 public universities in Kenya, having been a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology since the year 2007 until it was chartered to become a fully fledged public university on 14 December 2012.

Jane Njoki Mugambi (sometimes known as Jane Kimemia Mugambi [1]) was born 23 December 1967 in Gituamba Village, Central Province, Kenya.She was the principal advisor to the president of Kenya, sector cabinet secretaries, principal secretaries and boards and chief executive officers of state-owned entities on matters relating to the governance and management matters of state corporations.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Security Management, awarded by Dedan Kimathi University of Technology in 2016. She also holds a Diploma in Criminology and Security Management, obtained from St. Paul's University, Limuru, in 2013.
The KLFA was led by Dedan Kimathi for most of its existence. After four years, British forces managed to destroy the KFLA militarily, and Kimathi was captured and executed in 1957. Though the Mau Mau rebellion was ultimately suppressed, it played a major role in achieving Kenya's independence, which occurred in 1963.
