You can't. The revamped Paint is delivered by the Store, and only to W11 Insiders at present, along with a new look Calculator and Clock. I'd like to change the background on the MS Paint icon to a different colour - e.g. purple - for the Old MS paint so that I can see immediately whether it is the old or new version that I am opening. MS Paint - default 'Save As" location. Hello, I read through a very old post that had the same issue, but no solution. We use Paint a lot for work. We take photos, transfer them to the server folder location we need them. Then open them in paint to edit. Go to Save-As and, being so used to the way it worked before, just change the name and save.
What you need in addition to mspaint.exe is a copy of mspaint.exe.mui from the System32\EN-US folder (or whatever is your installed language, mine needed EN-GB). Create an EN-US (or whatever) subfolder in the same folder as your copy of mspaint.exe and put a copy of mspaint.exe.mui in it. My Computers. Berton.
