Make sure to keep them well fed and just snip like 1/4 of one leg off once a week and give it to the harlequin. If you continue this and rotate between 2-3 stars they shouldve grown the first leg back by the time you get there. You can also breed astrinas that same way. May 28, 2021. #3.

Nathan. I'm not if freezing would kill the pathogens or make it dormant. I have an idea that idea sounds absurd but it could work. If you put it in the microwave for a minute or two it should kill all pathogens. I don't know if the shrimp would still eat it though. 9.

I feed my pair a whole CC once every three to four weeks. You can buy many CC's and cut legs off them and just cycle through them, giving them time to re grow there legs. If the cleaner shrimp is already with the pistol shrimp and hasn't bothered him, I doubt the pistol shrimp would bother the Harlequin. Also keep in mind, the harlequin may not even eat them.
