Mascoutin Valley State Trail is a rail trail in northeastern Wisconsin. The trail is used for walking, bicycling, horseback riding (except Green Lake County), and snowmobiling during the winter months. The trail can also be used for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing but the trail is not groomed and must be shared with snowmobiles.
Kettlebowl is a small ski area near Bryant, Wisconsin, founded in 1956 and run as a non-profit operation by volunteers of the Langlade County Ski Club. [1] The name Kettlebowl comes from the Kettle Moraine, a large moraine, or glacial deposit, in Northern Wisconsin. The Ice Age Trail route passes through Kettlebowl. [2] [3]

The Nicolet National Forest covers 664,822 acres (2,690.44 km 2) of northeastern Wisconsin. It is located in parts of Forest, Oconto, Florence, Vilas, Langlade, and Oneida counties. The forest headquarters are in Rhinelander. There are local ranger district offices in Eagle River, Florence, Lakewood, and Laona.
