Lashana Lynch (born 27 November 1987) is a British actor. She first gained recognition for her role as Rosaline Capulet in the ABC period drama series Still Star-Crossed (2017) going on to win the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2022. She portrayed Maria Rambeau in the Marvel Cinematic Universe beginning with Captain Marvel (2019).

But then she read the character of Bianca Pullman for a TV series based on Frederick Forsyth’s classic thriller “The Day of the Jackal.” Bianca was also an employee of Britain's foreign intelligence agency, but the differences between the two MI6 workers appealed: While Nomi was slick, Bianca was a mess Lynch could dive into.
Instead, Lynch focused on acting and producing, having boarded the project as an exec producer alongside Redmayne. The dual roles meant she found herself thinking about scenes in a new way.
