The Call of Duty Championship is an annual Call of Duty tournament held at the end of each competitive season to determine the year's World Champion. To determine qualification, teams must qualify through events before the World Championship. Players must be at least 18 years of age as of the beginning of the tournament in order to participate. The winners and runners-up of each group will advance to a single elimination playoff bracket. The quarter-finals and semi-finals consist of best-of-5 map series, while the grand final is best-of-7. The top 8 teams at the tournament (those who qualify for the playoffs) will gain Esports World Cup Club Championship points.
The Club Championship was a cross-game competition within the Esports World Cup. The championship gave out a total of US$20 million among the top 16 clubs (used by the EWC in place of "organization"), determined by their overall performance in various games throughout the tournament.
