Cooper-Young is an eclectic neighborhood and historic district in the Midtown section of Memphis, Tennessee, named for the intersection of Cooper Street and Young Avenue. The entrance to the neighborhood is marked by the Cooper-Young Trestle, a 150-foot (46 m) long steel sculpture which depicts homes and businesses found in the neighborhood.
The Cooper-Young Festival is also held annually at the intersection of Cooper and Young, in Midtown. Another area, Overton Square, holds a St. Patrick's Day celebration. Midtown was also home to the Mid-South Fair for 152 years. However, the year 2008 was the last year that the Mid-South Fair was held in Memphis.

The construction of Sam Cooper Boulevard (which was originally to be I-40) destroyed many of the original homes built at the turn of the century. The High Point Terrace Historic District, which includes 1180 contributing buildings over 480 acres (1.9 km 2 ), was added in 2002 to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

Memphis did try to annex this area in the mid-2000s but held it off due to an inability to move services into the area. Per Tennessee law, each county is required to set up urban growth boundaries for it cities. Because of this, Memphis (along with each suburb) has what is known as an annexation reserve that defines the eventual city limits.
