The twenty-foot equivalent unit (abbreviated TEU or teu) is a general unit of cargo capacity, often used for container ships and container ports. [1] It is based on the volume of a 20-foot-long (6.1 m) intermodal container, a standard-sized metal box that can be easily transferred between different modes of transportation, such as ships, trains, and trucks.
Amendment 2 of 2005 then also standardized 45 ft (13.7 m) length containers. [7] The maximum gross mass (MGM) rating of laden 20- and 30-foot length units was notably increased to 30,480 kg (67,200 lb) by Amendment 1 of 2005. [7] Until then, the MGM for 20- and 30-foot boxes was 24,000 kg (52,910 lb), and 25,400 kg (56,000 lb) respectively.
The alternative Super series, denoted SnR, nR Plus or nR+, has an aspect ratio of 3∶2 (or as close as possible) and thus provides a better fit for standard 135 film (35 mm) at sizes of 8 inches or above. 5R is twice the size of a 2R print, 6R twice the size of a 4R print and S8R twice the size of 6R. 4D/6D is a newer size for most consumer ...
The most common and noted type of containers are the 20 feet and 40 feet containers. There are also containers with an extent in height called "High Cube" containers. [3] [9] The fixed exterior dimension of the standard size boxes are: [9] [10] 20 feet container size is: 20 ft (6.1 m) length by 8 ft (2.4 m) width by 8.6 ft (2.6 m) height.
A flat rack container is a shipping container with two end walls, but without side walls and roof. Some flat racks can also be equipped with pillars. Flat rack containers are also available as stake containers with and without end walls. [1] There are flat racks in the standard sizes 20′ or 40′, and also in the dimensions of high cube ...
Medium-format cameras typically have format designated by nominal sizes in centimeters (6×6, 6×7, 6×9, 6×4.5), but these numbers should not be interpreted as exact in computing aspect ratios. For example, the usable height of 120-format roll film is 56mm, so a width of 70mm (as in 6×7) yields an aspect ratio of 4:5 — ideal for enlarging ...

There is no standard size, with substantial variations over the years and in different regions. In some areas a popular size measured 20 cm × 10 cm × 30 cm (8 by 4 by 12 inches) weighing about 10 kg (25 pounds); in other contexts the size is 25 cm × 10 cm × 36 cm (10 by 4 by 14 inches) weighing about 15 kg (35 pounds).
