In 1946, there were three buses serving the township, and the Locust Valley students were transported to the Lanark School. The other township school was Center Valley School (1940) [19]). [20] The Lanark School was built in 1941 and was located in the northern part of the township, on the east side of Pennsylvania Route 309. [21]
