I'm aware Villages Discount Golf Cars are now selling the Evolution Carts. Here's a review from an actual buyer who purchased the cart last November and returned the cart, he bought it from a dealer in Ocala. Evolution Golf Cart Review, November 2020 Here's his cart, he paid just under $10,000 new. From Villages Discount Golf Cars Facebook page.
Based on how a golf cart is built, the pricing by Evolution is more inline with what I would expect (I spent nearly 30 years in the automotive industry). Pricing for carts at $20K+ is absolutely ridiculous and has a huge profit margin.
Having said that, there is a new Evolution dealer in Ocala - Botero Golf Carts. They opened in early September 2023. They are not new to Evolution as they have stores in North Carolina, Georgia, and Arizona and have been selling Evolution exclusively for the past 7-8 years.
Now the Crown Electric Carts in Wildwood behind Russell Stover has them. I would also be interested in any reviews of the ICON electric, the Tampa dealer has some very good prices about the same as Evolution prices. Here's one, $7475: ICON Golf Carts – Bayside Custom Carts Home - ICON Electric Vehicles Crown Carts Wildwood Crown Carts
The Evolution Golf Cars come with Lithium batteries. Luxus of Leesburg, has the ONLY brand new golf cart on the market with LITHIUM batteries for less than $8,000 out the door! The Following User Says Thank You to John_W For This Useful Post:
The Evolution D5 has an electronic parking brake that engages automatically when the cart stops. To tow the cart, you put it in neutral, and then release the electronic parking brake with a knob under the rear seat.
All in all a much better value than any Yamaha golf cart as I paid around $12,400 for the cart including the lights. Yamaha would’ve been $3-4k higher than that and would require annual maintenance and gas something that evolution doesn’t. I would get an evolution card anywhere other than village discount golf carts
Couple things about the Evolution D5: they can go up to 25mph without any adjustments made on them, making them - from a legal standpoint, not a "golf cart." But because they don't have windshield wipers, they are also not eligible for the LSV legal designation. So no matter where you're driving it in the Villages, you would be driving it ...
We just ordered Evolution 4 seater Plus from STM Golf Carts in Ocala.I did not like how Village Discount Golf Carts does business. When it comes to the Evolution you take what they have, they don't let you customize your cart. They are more of a Yamaha dealer and have only been selling Evolution for about 6 months.
That's a nice looking cart. I've got an Evolution two seater that I bought new back in September 2021. I like it well enough, but the build quality isn't/wasn't as good as the Lithium Ion carts I've seen sold at the Villages Golf Carts. The other issues I've had include ride quality, which I improved with some aftermarket front shocks.
