Vicente Daclan Rubi (January 23, 1903 – November 12, 1980) was a Filipino Visayan musician from Cebu, Philippines, best known for composing the Philippine Christmas carol Kasadyaa Ning Taknaa, which was translated into Tagalog, Ang Pasko ay Sumapit, by National Artist Levi Celerio.
A tribute concert sponsored by MYX Music Channel was held during the launch of the album, in honour of the trio's contributions to OPM Music. [3] A two-disc limited edition set of Kami nAPO Muna has been released, with the second disc containing Apo Hiking Society's original versions of the tribute tracks.
Kasadya Ning Taknaa (English: How Blissful is this Season, lit. ' Happy is this Hour ') is a Cebuano Christmas carol composed in 1933 by Vicente Rubi with lyrics by Mariano Vestil.
"Star ng Pasko" (lit. ' Star of Christmas ') is a Filipino-language Christmas song produced by ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management (CCM) for the network's 2009–2010 Christmas station identification titled "Bro, Ikaw ang Star ng Pasko" (lit.
