Marin County (/ m ə ˈ r ɪ n / ⓘ mə-RIN) is a county located in the northwestern part of the San Francisco Bay Area of the U.S. state of California.As of the 2020 census, the population was 262,231. [4]
It stretches from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Oregon border, and includes all of the portions of Highway 101 within California that are north of San Francisco, excepting a stretch in Sonoma County. The district consists of Marin , Mendocino , Humboldt , Del Norte , and Trinity counties, plus portions of Sonoma County.
Kentfield (formerly Ross Landing, Tamalpais, and Kent) [5] is a census-designated place (CDP) in Marin County, California, United States, just north of San Francisco. Kentfield is located 2 miles (3 km) southwest of downtown San Rafael, [5] at an elevation of 115 feet (35 m). [3] The population was 6,808 at the 2020 census. [4]
