This page explains how to place images on wiki pages, where the image acts as a hypertext link to somewhere other than the image description page.Care should be taken that this is done in compliance with the licensing terms of the file in question, particularly if they require proper attribution.

Images, audio and video files must be uploaded into Wikipedia using the "Upload file" link on the left-hand navigation bar. Only logged in users can upload files. Once a file is uploaded, other pages can include or link to the file. Uploaded files are given the "File:" prefix by the system, and each one has an image description page.

If you do change the name, remember to change all links to that image in Wikipedia articles to point to the new image at Commons, not to the old image.
