Acton is a town in York County, Maine, United States. The population was 2,671 at the 2020 census. [2] It includes the villages of Acton, Miller Corner and South Acton. The town is home to the Acton Fairground, which holds the Acton Fair every late summer. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area.

Richard Nass (born September 10, 1943) is an American politician from Maine.An Acton resident, Nass represented the 2nd Senate District from 2002 to 2010. Prior to being elected a Maine State Senator, he was a member of the Acton School Board from 1976 to 1991.
The Lincoln School is a historic former one-room schoolhouse at 8 Orchard Road in Acton, Maine. Built in 1884, it is the best-preserved of the town's surviving district school buildings, and was its last active district school, closed in 1957. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. [1]
