In November 1997, Heather and her sisters, Raylene and Cookie, released their Christmas record Do You Hear… It featured a selection of music that the Rankin sisters had sung in their Christmas choir growing up in Mabou. This was the first album to include one of Heather's songs, "The Christmas Star."
