A Google search brought me to the Byzantine Catholic Church (Welcome to byzcath.org), but none of the parishes in my state are near my home. I also found the Eastern Catholic Church's website (Welcome to the Eastern Catholic Church) but don't see any listing of parishes. Is there another source for finding Eastern Catholic parishes in the U.S.?
Twenty-five years ago, with promulgation of the CCEO (the Code of Canons of the Eastern/Oriental Churches), the distinction was formalized as 'Antiochene' (formerly West Syrian) and 'Chaldean' (formerly East Syrian) Rites. ("Chaldean Rite" is sometimes written as "Assyro-Chaldean" but that usage has some ecclesio-political implications that ...
The biblical canons of the Eastern and Oriental Catholic Churches, like those of their counterpart Orthodox Churches, are not generally as rigidly defined as the Latin canon of scripture. Typically, they mirror that of their parent Churches and, thus, differ even among themselves.

The Eastern Rite Catholic church is a unique situation (just looking this up in a book of mine, don't know too much else on it besides what I am reading). It was especially for Orthodox Christians who convert to Catholicism, while overall conforming to Catholic rule, they maintain Orthodox rites, art, and their clergy may marry.
As fellow victims of the genocides, and as Eastern Christians who share with the Eastern Orthodox a rejection of the errors of the Roman Catholic Church and Protestantism, including a rejection of the Filioque, a rejection of Scholastic theology, a rejection of Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide and other 16th century innovations, and who possess an ...
