Mannington Township is a township in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 1,475, [8] a decrease of 331 (−18.3%) from the 2010 census count of 1,806, [16] [17] which in turn reflected an increase of 247 (+15.8%) from the 1,559 counted in the 2000 census.
In the 2016–17 school year, Mannington had the 31st smallest enrollment of any school district in the state, with 158 students. [5] The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings.
