Camp Phoenix is a sixteen acre plot of land located within the center of Baxter State Park in Northeast Piscataquis, Maine, U.S.It contains fifteen 500 sq ft camps and one main lodge (19 condos total) and is only accessed by the perimeter road at Baxter (20 miles from both the North and South entrance).
The park was established by 28 donations of land, in trust, from park donor Percival P. Baxter between the years of 1931 and 1962, eventually creating a park of over 200,000 acres (809 km 2) in size. Baxter Park is not part of the Maine State Park system.

Doubletop Mountain is a mountain located in Piscataquis County, Maine, in Baxter State Park. According to Fannie Hardy Eckstorm, the mountain's Indigenous name was Psinskihegan-I-Outop. Psinskihegan means notch and I-Outop means head. in 1828 in the Survey of Maine, Moses Greenleaf called the mountain a variation Chinskihegan or Outop.
