The Bertelsmann Printing Group is a German group of companies in the printing industry with headquarters in Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia. [ 4 ] [ 5 ] It was established in 2016 and is the market leader in Europe among offset and gravure printing companies.
Donnelley went on to purchase OfficeTiger, a major publishing and financial outsourcing company, as well as printing company Banta Corporation in 2007. [ 26 ] [ 27 ] In May 2007, R.R. Deluxe Corporation was founded as Deluxe Check Printers in Saint Paul, Minnesota by William Roy (W. R.) Hotchkiss, [6] after Hotchkiss secured a $300 loan. [7] [8] Hotchkiss was the creator of speed-enhancing inventions, including the Hotchkiss Imprinting Press (patented in 1925), a two-way perforator, and the Hotchkiss Lithograph Press (patented in 1928).
Founded in 1961 it is the largest photo printing company in Europe with its main source of the revenue now the digital printing of photos, photo books and calendars. [ 2 ] The company has expanded through acquisitions of competing and similar companies, among which are Laserline, Viaprinto, Pixum and Saxoprint.
