In the Jan 4' 2007 ( Appendix 18 ) update by The Wizard of Odds he says to Stand on 16 vs 10 with 3 or more cards. Since everybody's BS chart shows a Hit on 16 vs 10 and the 3 or more cards 16 is a more common occurance than the 2 cards 16, is this a change now for the BS charts. My other question is on the European BJ.
Actually, the strategy for blackjack switch listed on Wizard of Odds and blackjackswitch.com resemble my original strategy for Power BJ, but often do not match your suggested changes. For example, on 12 vs dealer 5/6 the blackjack switch strategy is to stand. However, in an early post you suggested to change this from stand to hit.

On a 4 deck game it makes a difference of a drop of 0.035% in the house edge I'm not sure if I took that into consideration, but generally I use the "theoretical" figures on the Wizard Basic Strategy calculator (which assume shuffle after every hand, i.e. CSM) as my basic house edge. So it has probably been taken partly into account.
I was reading on Wizard of Odds that their are a few exception to basic strategy with 2-8 decks. One that stood out at me was standing a 3 or more card 16 vs a dealer 10. After learning this I always utilized this exception. But I have found that this Basic Strategy play is unknown among casino patrons, even players who otherwise play perfect BS.
Spanish 21 blackjack The Wizard of Odds states Spanish 21 is a better bet for the player than traditional BJ using his strategy charts, if the dealer stands on S17 or redoubling is allowed but he ignores card counting in his evaluation. Although most Reno casinos offer Spanish 21, I have never played it assuming it was another funky game like ...
Ugh this again. I already know and understand basic strategy. You are taking my admission of making a mistake during play and then asking others what kind of memorization techniques they use in another thread and construing it to a misplaced belief that I don't know or understand basic strategy.
Blackjack pays 3:2. Dealer hits Soft 17. Split any two cards of the same value for up to four hands (except aces) No resplitting aces. Double on any two cards. Double after split allowed. Sidebet: Sidebet pays 10 TO 1 if you push the dealer. Sidebet may be UP TO 50% of your blackjack bet (I always take max for the Wizard's above strategy to ...
Hi, first post here. Many thanks to the insights offered here- I have learned quite a bit over the last few days. I am a pretty casual player, although I do keep a basic count. A few weeks ago, I read a post over at Wizard of Odds about hitting a 16 versus the dealer 10 (I can't find it...
