Forex Simulator is an add-on for Metatrader 4. It combines great charting capabilities of MT4 with high-quality tick data and economic calendar to create a powerful simulation software. Although our software is created in a form of Expert Advisor (EA), it does not perform any trading by itself.
Forex Simulator is based on offline charts. MT4 supports offline charting so you can create various types of charts that are not offered by default in MT4. I mean renko charts, range charts, tick charts, custom timeframes, etc. Unfortunately, MT5 does not support offline charts.
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to download MT4 directly from MetaQuotes official website. As you said, they are trying to force everyone to move to MT5. It saves a lot of time: you can simulate an year's worth of trades within a day, or even within an hour, depending on the system's complexity.
Thanks for taking the time to try out my Trading Simulator. It's currently setup for Intra-Day trading with a forced end of day @ 5pm GMT. Day start is 9am GMT. In reality the Simulator can handle any Time Frame and Trading Period but as I haven't finished working on the setup screens it was easier to force the setup to Intra-Day trading only.
