A second run theater in the St. Laurent Shopping Centre. This five-screen cinema, originally opened as a single screen cinema, known as the St. Laurent Theatre, opened in 1967 and was a first run cinema. It was later converted to two screens and later to five screens, by taking over unoccupied space in the St. Laurent Shopping Centre.

Place Vertu is a shopping mall in the borough of Saint-Laurent in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located on Côte-Vertu Boulevard , at the corner of Cavendish Boulevard. The mall is about 830,000 square feet (77,109.5 m 2 ) in size, and has a high-rise building.
Originally built as a Transitway station, its construction required the complete reconstruction of the St. Laurent Boulevard / Highway 417 interchange and the construction of a tunnel to allow the transitway to cross underneath the Queensway. Its construction was linked to the last major expansion of the shopping centre in 1987.
The CEO said the cinema has "the '80s mall movie-going vibe" and the space to add an arcade to bring extra experiences to the theater.
The mall is considered to be the third-largest shopping centre in the Ottawa–Gatineau area in terms of retail space by trailing St. Laurent Centre's 867,275 square feet (80,572.5 m 2) and Bayshore Shopping Centre's 883,250 square feet (82,056.6 m 2).
