WOLE-DT (channel 12) is a television station licensed to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, serving Mayagüez and the western part of the island as an affiliate of Univision and UniMás. It is a full-time satellite of San Juan–based WLII-DT (channel 11, licensed to Caguas), owned by Liberman Media Group.
WKAQ-TV formerly operated WOLE-TV (channel 12) in Aguadilla and WORA-TV (channel 5) in Mayagüez as satellite stations. WKAQ-TV also has three low-power translator facilities: W09AT-D in Fajardo, W28EH-D in Adjuntas and W28EQ-D in Utuado. WKAQ-TV also simulcasts the signal of New York City sister station WNBC with the branding of NBC Puerto Rico.
He currently works as the anchorman of the West Coast daily news program for WOLE-TV. He also has a weekly program on WWNA (1340 AM) where he discusses topics of interest for the west coast residents. Cordero was born on November 16, 1940, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Jose Cordero and Elena Ferrer.
At the young age of 14, he became a television show host and producer, on a locally produced television musical show named "Imagen y Sonido", which was televised from Aguadilla on a television station named WOLE-TV. After more than five years without newscasts, WLII-DT aired a 60-minute local news program called Edición Digital Puerto Rico, similar to WKAQ-TV and WAPA-TV's news offerings. This newscast was produced at the studios of sister station WOLE-DT in Aguadilla, and started on April 22, 2019, and ended on March 5, 2021.
