Following the closure of Target Canada in 2015, in 2017, the former Target store at the mall was replaced by three new stores, a Saks Off 5th outlet store, Cineplex Cinemas 11 and VIP movie theatre and a Farm Boy food market. Pickering Public Library is the library system of Pickering, Ontario, Canada. The library was operational in separate branches since 1841, but officially launched as the Main Library in 1990 at the Central Branch. There are also the George Ashe (formerly Petticoat Creek) and Claremont branches which remain part of the Pickering Public Library. [1]

Greenwood developed as an unincorporated community within the Pickering Township. When the Regional Municipality of Durham was created in 1974, the southern part of Greenwood was merged with Ajax , and the rest of the territory remained with the Township's successor, the town (later city) of Pickering.
