"Isn't Life Strange" is a 1972 single by the English progressive rock band the Moody Blues Written by bassist John Lodge, it was the first of two singles released from their 1972 album Seventh Sojourn, with the other being "I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)", also written by Lodge.
It only had one lyric at that time, 'Isn't life strange.' I wrote the music right then and there. I remember going to bed and wondering, 'I wonder if I have written that song, or if it was something else? In the morning I am going to go downstairs and play it and see if it stands up.' It did. That next day I sat down and wrote all of the lyrics.
Celeste premiered the song at the BBC Music Introducing concert at The Lexington in February 2019. She told BBC, "You never know how you're gonna feel when you perform something for the first time and how people are going to react to it, and I had such a warm response and it seemed like it was a memorable song for people in that moment."

It was the second single released from Seventh Sojourn, with the first being "Isn't Life Strange", which was also written by Lodge. The song reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, becoming one of their highest-charting hits in that country, but fared less well in their native UK, where it managed number 36.
"Question" is one of the Moody Blues' most popular songs, and has been included in virtually all of their compilations and live albums. In addition, the song was re-recorded (along with "Isn't Life Strange") in the studio with the London Symphony Orchestra (who in 1978 had released an orchestral cover of the song) in 1988, for the Greatest Hits ...
