Constance Christine "Connie" Smith (born July 11, 1942 – disappeared July 16, 1952) was a 10-year-old American girl who disappeared after she ran away from her Connecticut YMCA summer camp on July 16, 1952, and was last seen hitchhiking. Her disappearance remains unsolved.
Smith did not perform publicly until high school when a friend invited her to sing Connie Francis's pop hit "My Happiness". [8] With only one-tenth of a point behind the valedictorian, [8] Smith graduated from Salem-Liberty High School in 1959 as the class salutatorian. [5] Following graduation, she worked as telephone operator in Lowell, Ohio.
The Parade All-America Boys Basketball Team was an annual selection by Parade that nationally honored the top high school boys' basketball players in the United States. [1] It was part of the Parade All-American series that originated with boys basketball before branching to other sports.
