The township is located in southern Clearfield County and is bordered by Cambria County to the south. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.0 square miles (93.2 km 2), of which 35.8 square miles (92.6 km 2) is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 km 2), or 0.64%, is water. Williams Township is a township in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, United States.The township's population was 6,581 at the 2020 census. The township is part of the Lehigh Valley metropolitan area, which had a population of 861,899 and was the 68th-most populous metropolitan area in the U.S. as of the 2020 census.

[1] The entire township is within the watershed of Lycoming Creek, which flows south to the West Branch Susquehanna River at Williamsport.
The median household income was $41,962 and the median family income was $50,858. Males had a median income of $40,583 versus $21,882 for females. The per capita income for the township was $19,560. About 3.2% of families and 4.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 7.3% of those under age 18 and 6.1% of those age 65 or over.
In the township the population was spread out, with 23.7% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 29.5% from 25 to 44, 26.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 107.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.0 males.
