St Nicholas Abbey is located in Saint Peter, Barbados, and is a plantation house, museum and rum distillery. [1] Colonel Benjamin Berringer built the house in 1658. [ 2 ] This house is one of only three genuine Jacobean mansions in the Western Hemisphere . [ 2 ]

St. Ann's Garrison, or more commonly known as "The Garrison", is a small district located in the country of Barbados.This Garrison Historic Area is situated about 3.2 km (2 mi) south of Heroes Square in the capital-city Bridgetown, and just west of the village of Hastings in the neighbouring parish of Christ Church.

Sugar was not grown due to the reduction of the price of sugar internationally at the time the house was built. [4] From the time the house was constructed, it was owned by descendants of Mourraille.
