Huzzah Creek (locally / ˈ h uː z ɑː /) is a 35.8-mile-long (57.6 km) [3] clear-flowing stream in the southern part of the U.S. state of Missouri. [4] According to the information in the Ramsay Place Names File at the University of Missouri, the creek's name "is evidently derived from" Huzzaus, one of the early French versions of the name of the Osage people.

Jim Owens Float Trip – This was an outdoor boat ride (1969 to 1980) around a man-made river with animatronics. Silver Dollar City removed this ride after the 1980 season and remodeled it into the American Plunge log flume. However, the original channels still exist and can be seen as guests make their way to Wildfire and from the queue line ...
Some sections of the original ride's man-made river were reused for the log flume and troughs from the float trip and Silver Dollar City left the rest for scenery. A large portion of the ride's channel are no longer used, however they still exist and are used as theme in Wildfire's overflow queue-line.
