Sky News Today is a live news programme on Sky News which usually runs between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm on weekdays. The programme was presented by two anchors, however following on from the social distancing measures due to COVID-19, and the departure of Colin Brazier from Sky News, the programme is now solo anchored.
In 2014, as part of a schedule change, Sky News Today was launched, presented by Secker and Colin Brazier. She conducted the first live TV interview with the astronaut Tim Peake from the International Space Station. [6] In April 2019, Secker drew criticism for her comments during an interview about 'no-fault evictions'.
Colin Brazier (born 28 March 1968) is an English retired journalist, [1] having previously worked for GB News between 2021 and 2022, and Sky News between 1997 and 2021. He presented Sky News Today on the channel alongside Jayne Secker from September 2014, alongside other programmes on the channel.
Stephen Dixon (born 1 March 1974) is an English news presenter. Dixon co-presents Breakfast with Stephen and Anne on GB News. Previously he presented Sky News Sunrise, Sky News at Seven and Sky News at Ten on Sky News.
Longhurst joined Sky News in 1996, initially as business correspondent, before moving into the studio as a presenter. He presented a range of programmes and slots for Sky, including Sky News Today, Sunrise and latterly weekend editions of Sky News at Ten. He left Sky News in August 2016, as a result of heavy cost-saving measures at Sky. [2]
