Graduate were an English new wave and mod revival musical group formed in 1978 in Bath, England. The band released a single entitled "Elvis Should Play Ska" and an album entitled "Acting My Age". The band were unsuccessful and broke up in 1981. Future Tears for Fears members Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith were members of Graduate.
In late 2006, College Music Journal featured The Graduate on the cover of the CMJ New Music Report for being the most added band to college radio stations during the week of December 3, 2006. 167 stations added their EP, Horror Show to their airplay lineup in total. Originally recorded on 7-String Guitars tuned down, the band switched to 8-String Guitars shortly after the album was released.
