On January 19, 2012, Legoland California confirmed that they would build a new attraction for the 2012 season called Pirate Reef, a Hopkins shoot-the-chutes attraction. It is themed to pirates and features 28 new Lego models for the park. The 28 new models are made out of 250,000 Lego bricks.

The bronze statues that once stood there were donated to the City of San Antonio. Lost Lagoon was a small water park located near Sea Lion Stadium. It opened 1993 and closed in 2011. The area where Lost Lagoon once stood is no longer a part of SeaWorld San Antonio, rather it is part of a separate, gated water park called Aquatica San Antonio.
It opened in 1997 under the name White Water Canyon. On November 20, 2012, Cedar Fair announced it had sold its San Diego Soak City park to SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
