If your using PS (photoshop) than heres how. In your tool box there Is an eraser, If u right clikc It says "background eraser". This will let u click on the white and It will turn It transparent. If you have trouble with that, use the pen tool to outline the flower and copy and paste It onto a transparent doc.

I have added a linear transparency to an image but whenever I export it it takes the background color with it and becomes a solid image. I want it to remain transparent so that I can add it to my website and have it be sort of like a veil where the background color shines threw. TiA for any help.
I select the non-transparent part of the image, and go to channels and create a new alpha channel. I tell it to be alpha 0 and i make sure the part i want transparent is white while the part i want colored is black. Then I try saving as tif. It now lets me save the alpha channel, but when i reopen the file the background is white. Arrrrggggggg!

I've played around with PSP, GIMP, and various vectoring programs to create a PDF stamp with transparent background. No avail. Unfortunately, NitroPDF won't take a GIF with transparent background and turn it into a stamp. It has to be a PDF with saved transparency. thanks.-Tony
