The Whitcomb Cabin is a historic 18-by-25-foot (5.5 m × 7.6 m) log cabin near Glenwood, Washington that was built in 1875. Known also as the Stephen S. Whitcomb Cabin, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The listing included one contributing building and two contributing structures. [1] [2]

The original Saint Rose Cemetery was established in 1853 at the site of the Saint Rose of the Cayuse Mission on Yellow Hawk Creek. The 1853 Mission house was burned during the war of 1855. A log chapel was subsequently built on the McBean land claim in 1863.
The cabin has a stone and concrete floor, log walls, and a wood shake roof. The Buckner's used the cabin as a primary residence until 1924, when it became a guest house. The National Park Service renovated the cabin in 1980, and stabilized the structure in 1999. The cabin is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Buckner Cabin.
