Robert Elledy Gable (February 20, 1934 – November 29, 2024) was an American businessman from Frankfort, who was the Kentucky Republican gubernatorial nominee in 1975. Gable lost to the incumbent Democratic governor Julian Carroll. Carroll received 470,159 votes (62.8 percent) to Gable's 277,998 (37.2 percent).

The school was established by Dr. John Q. A. Stewart in 1893 on the former site of Kentucky Military Institute on Lawrenceburg Road, five miles southeast of Frankfort. [2] The school has been in continuous operation by five generations of the Stewart family, and was placed on the United States National Register of Historic Places June 3, 1976. [1]
