International Diabetes Center at Park Nicollet (IDC) is a center for diabetes care, research and education located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. The center provides clinical, motivational and educational services for people with diabetes.

HealthPartners was founded in 1957 as Group Health, the first HMO, by Mid-America Mutual Insurance Company as an experiment in managed care and lower-cost health care. They established a full-service clinic in their headquarters on Como Avenue, at Highway 280, in St. Paul, near the border of Minneapolis. Its board of directors included one patient.

In 1988 the technology laboratory moved to the International Diabetes Center at Park Nicollet (IDC) in Minnesota. Memory-based reflectance meters with AGP analysis were used in all clinical research projects. AGP was extensively used to characterize abnormalities in pregnancy, type 1 diabetes, and type 2 diabetes.
December 17, 2002—The Public Health Service Act amendment relating to diabetes research (P.L. 107–360) extended and augmented the Special Statutory Funding Program for Type 1 Diabetes Research. The law provided $150 million per year for type 1 diabetes research from FY 2004 through FY 2008.
