4–12 August – The BBC's coverage of the 1984 Summer Olympic Games sees Breakfast Time being given over to Olympic Games highlights, and this includes weekend editions. News summaries are broadcast on the hour and this is the first time that the BBC has broadcast a full service of pre-lunchtime news bulletins at the weekend.
2 June – The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Abbey is televised by the BBC and watched live by an estimated audience of 20 million people in the United Kingdom. 1954. 5 July – BBC newsreader Richard Baker reads the first televised BBC News bulletin. Regional Jobfinder services are part of Night Time and they are broadcast between 4am and 5am on weeknights. 17 September–2 October – Channel 4 broadcasts all night for the first time to provide full live coverage of the 1988 Olympic Games. English Football League. All televised EFL games are broadcast on Sky Sports, with two games (usually Championship) per weekend broadcast at 20:00 on a Friday and 12:30 on a Saturday. Other games may be additionally scheduled at different times, such as 12:00 on Sunday or, very occasionally, 20:00 on a Monday.
