Dodge County is a county located in the central portion of the U.S. state of Georgia.As of 2020, the population was 19,925. [1] The county seat is Eastman. [2] Dodge County lies in the Historic South and Black Belt region of Georgia, an area that was devoted to cotton production in the antebellum years.
Covington is located in north central Georgia, in the eastern part of Metro Atlanta. Interstate 20 runs to the north of the city, with access from exits 90, 92, and 93. Via I-20, downtown Atlanta is 35 mi (56 km) west, and Augusta is 112 mi (180 km) east.
Salem Camp Ground is a historic camp meeting site in Covington, Georgia. It was established in 1828. [2] It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 5, 1998. It is located at 3940 Salem Road. The interdenominational camp offers activities for children and adults.
