O-360-A1C 180 hp (134 kW) at 2700 rpm, Minimum fuel grade 91/96 avgas, compression ratio 8.50:1. Same as the A1A except with a rear-mounted Bendix carburetor and 200 series magnetos. The Lycoming O-360 is a family of four-cylinder, direct-drive, horizontally opposed, air-cooled, piston aircraft engines.Engines in the O-360 series produce between 145 and 225 hp (110 and 170 kW), with the basic O-360 producing 180 hp (130 kW).
During the development of the engine, it was found that a 360 degree crank angle was better suited to the use of a single carburettor than a 180 degree crank angle. [ 24 ] Following the trend created by the Triumph Speed Twin, the most common design used by British motorcycle manufacturers until the mid-1970s was a four-stroke straight-twin ...
These considerations outweigh the convenient divisibility of the number 360. One complete turn (360°) is equal to 2 π radians, so 180° is equal to π radians, or equivalently, the degree is a mathematical constant: 1° = π ⁄ 180. One turn (corresponding to a cycle or revolution) is equal to 360°.

The supposed firing sequence of the 270° twin is not "big bang", since it's 270° between ignitions, then 450 degrees of "rest" - that is in order to get the compromised smoother firing than a 180° crank (180°-540°), but less smooth than a 360° crank (360°-360°).
In the Jota, a "flat-plane" crankshaft was used which has cylinders 1 and 3 offset by 360° while the second one is offset by 180° from the outer cylinders. Triumph Motorcycles Ltd is another company that used a different firing order on an inline-three and introduced a "T-plane" crankshaft on the 2020 Tiger 900 .
The IO-390 was developed from the similar IO-360 engine, by using cylinders from the IO-580 [citation needed] to increase the O-360's cylinder bore. (Although the IO-390 cylinder assembly [ 4 ] is not the same part number as the IO-580, [ 5 ] the cylinder barrels of both have a 5.318 bore and 4.375 stroke dimension.)
