Community Colleges of Spokane is a community college district based in Spokane, Washington. Established in 1963, CCS serves over 28,000 students a year, spread across a 12,300-square-mile (32,000 km 2) service district in Eastern Washington. It comprises Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College.
SCC's campus of 23 administrative, academic and support buildings is located on 148 acres (0.60 km 2) next to the Spokane River in Spokane's Chief Garry Park neighborhood. An additional 10 acres (40,000 m 2) is used for off-campus facilities, including an Apprenticeship and Journeyman Training Center and Felts Field aviation hangar.
The site of the campus is a former brownfield site that was once occupied by rail lines and a waste incubator.
