Late 19th century barong tagalog made from piña with both pechera ("shirt front") and sabog ("scattered") embroidery, from the Honolulu Museum of Art. The barong tagalog, more commonly known simply as barong (and occasionally baro), is an embroidered long-sleeved formal shirt for men and a national dress of the Philippines.
The jersey is yellow with the word “BOSTON” stenciled in light blue text across the front. The sleeves are striped with light blue and white, and there is a “617” (Boston’s area code) patch shaped like a racing bib on the left sleeve. On the lower half, the uniform features white pants with a blue belt.
