Walser currently is a member of the faculty at Case Western Reserve University. Walser has also served as an expert witness for over 250 music copyright infringement cases, generally reserved to the Ninth Circuit.
Initial pressings of the album contained an alternate edit of "Runnin' with the Devil" where the verses, chorus and solos were arranged in a different order than that of the original album version. It was reported that this was accidental and subsequent pressings have replaced this version with the one found on Van Halen .

Running with the Demon is a fantasy novel by American writer Terry Brooks, the first book in the Word & Void fantasy series. It was first published in 1997 by Ballantine 's Del Rey division. It is followed by the novel A Knight of the Word .

Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen is a tribute album released on June 6, 2006. It features artists (including original Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth) performing covers of Van Halen songs of the Roth era, done in bluegrass-style music. Roth appeared on several late night talkshows to promote the album.
