The building was built adjacent to the elementary classrooms of St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School. The building was designed by Hartman-Cox Architects, a DC firm. In order to match the Palisades neighborhood, the architects broke down the structure into an "abundance of small, gabled brick shapes."
