In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Resort Village of Sun Valley recorded a population of 118 living in 54 of its 161 total private dwellings, a 47.5% change from its 2011 population of 80. With a land area of 2.33 km 2 (0.90 sq mi), it had a population density of 50.6/km 2 (131.2/sq mi) in 2016. [4]
Since 1945, Pentewan has been dominated by the large 'Pentewan Sands' caravan and camping site that covers much of the beach to the west. The village itself contains the Ship Inn (owned by the St Austell Brewery), a post office, and several shops. Pentewan Board School, designed and built in 1877/78 by Silvanus Trevail, is now a restaurant. [21]

Pentewan Valley is one of four new civil parishes created on 1 April 2009 for the St Austell district of mid Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The population including Gracca , Lavalsa Meor , London Apprentice and Lower Porthpean at the 2011 Census was 826.
Sun Valley Lodge was specifically designed to display its outdoor ice rink with Sun Valley Resort founder Averell Harriman asking architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood to make the rink a focus. [1] The resort and its rink opened in 1936, and in 1937, Sun Valley Lodge, Union Pacific and Sun Valley Skating Club created Sun Valley on Ice.
