Gamera Rebirth (stylized as GAMERA -Rebirth-) is a Japanese original net animation (ONA) series directed and co-written by Hiroyuki Seshita ().Produced by Kadokawa Corporation and animated by ENGI, it is a reboot of the Gamera franchise following Gamera the Brave (2006), the first animated entry in the franchise and the first entry in the franchise's Reiwa era.
The first, local TV season of Mystery Science Theater 3000 includes five episodes which each feature a film from the Gamera franchise's Shōwa period: Gamera, the Giant Monster, Gamera vs. Barugon, Gamera vs. Gyaos, Gamera vs. Guiron, and Gamera vs. Zigra. The same five films were re-used in the show's third national season.

Gamera, the Giant Monster was released in Japan on November 27, 1965. [1] The project was considered "cheap" and "destined to flop" among filmmakers partially due to the financial situation of Daiei Film. However, the film was a bigger hit than the studio expected, which led to a higher budget for the second film, Gamera vs. Barugon.
