St Leonards is an area of the Scottish new town East Kilbride, in South Lanarkshire.. St Leonards is a residential area on the east side of the town. The majority of the area's streets are named after Glens, Islands, Rivers and Lochs from Scotland, for instance: Loch Shin, Loch Assynt, Glen Carron, Glen Tanner, Inch Murrin, Benbecula and Skye.

The complex of buildings is situated on the precipitous bank of the Rotten Calder Water, overlooking a meander named the 'School Bend'.

Claremont High School was a non-denominational, state-funded secondary school based in the St Leonards area of East Kilbride.It closed in June 2007 and merged with Hunter High School to form the new Calderglen High School, although Calderglen met in the Claremont building until February 2008 when the new building opened on the same site.

K-Park was opened in May 2011 by the East Kilbride Community Trust (EKCT), who had previously drawn up plans that would give the large town a top-quality, UEFA-standard sports facility. [1] Former Rangers and Scotland footballer Ally McCoist , who is from East Kilbride, officially opened the first phase of the new facility on 25 September 2011.
