The Château d'If (French pronunciation: [ʃɑto dif]) is a fortress located on the Île d'If, the smallest island in the Frioul archipelago, situated about 1.5 kilometres (7 ⁄ 8 mile) offshore from Marseille in southeastern France. Built in the 16th century, it later served as a prison until the end of the 19th century.

Wikipedia:Picture of the day is an image which is automatically updated each day with an image from the list of featured pictures. The {{ POTD }} template produces the image shown above. Category:Wikipedia Picture of the day lists the different templates that can be used.
Correct misinterpretations of free images. One of the main complaints about free images is lack of quality when compared with a promotional images. That is not true: there are very good free images as shown by Wikipedia:Featured pictures. In the case of replaceable images, it is possible that a promotional image will look better than free versions.
Likewise, you can use date parameters with the other templates as well. If you like the pre-made formats, you can use date parameters there as well, like this: {{Pic of the day|date=2025-02-18}} or {{POTD|date=2025-02-18}}. Again, this system will only work for pictures of the day beginning January 1, 2007.
