The Edward E. The Downtown Holly Commercial District is a commercial historic district located primarily South Saginaw Street and Battle Alley in Holly, Michigan. The district is roughly bounded by Maple Street, South Broad Street, First Street, and the Grand Trunk Railroad tracks. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. [1]
Holly's oldest cemetery, Oak Hill Cemetery, was established around Holly's incorporation as a Township. There are veterans from every major war interred at Oak Hill, dating back to the Revolutionary War. Many of the founding families of the Holly area are also buried at Oak Hill, as well as Holly's historic 'sister cemetery', Lakeside Cemetery. [7]
